Changes to Belair uniform suppliers
New Shirt Supplier
We are excited to inform you of an upcoming change regarding the supplier of our Monday to Thursday shirts. After careful consideration and feedback from the school community, we have decided to transition from our current hemp supplier to BME, the company that provides the rest of our Belair uniform items. The feedback survey put out to the school community came back with over 77% in favour of moving to this option.
The new Monday to Thursday shirts will maintain the same design but will now be crafted from the fabric and sizing of our Friday sports shirts. The cost will remain the same.
This decision comes in response to the challenges posed by excessively long delivery times, which have proven to be unmanageable for our school community. Additionally, concerns regarding the quality and durability of the material have been taken into account.
We are confident that this change will lead to a more efficient and satisfactory uniform experience for everyone involved. Moreover, we are pleased to announce that our new supplier is local and already serves numerous schools across the city and NSW.
December Pre-Order Update
We would like to provide an update on the status of the hemp shirt preorder made in December. We are still awaiting delivery of these items, which are now expected to arrive in late May or early June. We share in the frustration caused by these shipping delays, which have been one of the reasons for ending our relationship with this supplier.
Families awaiting items from this preorder will be contacted directly by the P&C shortly to express our sincerest apologies for the inconvenience. Please note that, unfortunately, we are unable to cancel this order as it has been paid in full. Additionally, once delivered, we cannot exchange these items or offer refunds unless there is a manufacturing fault.
As a not-for-profit organisation run by volunteers, the Belair P&C operates differently from a typical retail store. Regrettably, we do not have the financial capacity to provide refunds for change of mind.
New Shirt Pre-Order
Pre-orders for the new Monday to Thursday shirt will open on Flexischools on Thursday 2 May. This order round will be open until 5pm, Thursday 9 May.
Thank you for your continued support and understanding as we strive to enhance the uniform offerings at our school. We understand this has been a challenging process for all, and we are doing our best as a team of volunteers to meet the needs of our community.

When the pre-order was open in December 2024, we advised parents that the shirts would likely not be delivered until Term 2. Unfortunately, due to shipping delays, this was correct, and has been pushed later into the term than we believe acceptable. These consistent delivery delays are one of the driving factors behind our change in supplier. It is unfortunately out of our hands, and we understand the frustration of parents with shirts on back order (we have shirts in this order too!) .
